Meet Sara Vincini
Born in Piacenza, a small town near Milan, Sara has been calling London her home since 2010.
After obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages and Cultures, a Master's Degree in Editorial Translation, and a second Master's Degree in Psychosocial Studies, Sara worked in the marketing field as a copywriter and translator for over 15 years, whilst also offering Italian tuition to individuals and small groups.
The Italian Garden is Sara's brainchild, a language project through which she seeks to spread her beautiful native language far and wide by providing one-of-a-kind courses and lessons, culturally-nuanced translations, and award-winning copywriting.
When she's not writing, translating, or teaching, you will almost certainly find her in one of London’s great parks with her husband, son, and cocker spaniel.
Why The Italian Garden?
"I have always been fascinated by the 'secret gardens' that are dotted all over the centre of my hometown in Italy – places of tranquillity, reflection, and connection with nature.
Imposing, intricately decorated iron gates tuck them away from the city's chaos, preserving their stillness and revealing their beauty to anyone who steps in.
In these gardens, things grow synergistically and organically; plants and flowers share the same spaces with stunning architecture, in complete harmony. Walking in these gardens is a joy for the eyes and a tonic for the soul.
That's exactly what The Italian Project is all about: to grow and nurture people's love for this wonderful language in ways that feel authentic and personalised, and that are as varied and nuanced as we all are."
